What is Hebron Homeschoolers?

Hebron Homeschoolers is an Educational Consultancy Service, managed by Andrew & Sue McColl, providing support and advice for homeschooling families.

Hebron Homeschooling families are able to access the ACE curriculum in Australia, through Southern Cross Educational Enterprises (SCEE) in Brisbane.

Andrew McColl was born in country NSW. From 1975-1977 he attended Bible College where he met Sue, and they married in 1979.

Andrew and Sue have three sons: Jonathan, Benjamin and Philip. Benjamin married Erin Perkins in 2007, and they have two children.

After working in a number of occupations, Andrew began studying externally for a Bachelor of Arts in 1991 at the University of New England at Armidale, which he completed in 1997. He subsequently completed his Diploma of Education in 2000, and a Master of Education in 2005.

Andrew and Sue began homeschooling their children in 1990 in Dubbo, completing the process in 2003. They have become convinced that home-education is a great means of providing a quality education for the Christian family.

Andrew worked as an Academic Consultant at Australian Christian Academy in Brisbane, from 1998-2005. There he was responsible to assist families all over Australia, who had embarked on the homeschooling adventure with their children, using the ACE curriculum. This entailed attending conventions, running home-schooling seminars all over Australia, and providing educational support for hundreds of homeschooling families.

Andrew left ACA in December 2005, and in 2008, due to his on-going interest in the strength of the Christian family, established (with Sue) Christian Family Study Centre in 2008. He published “They Shall Become One,” and “The Significance of the Godly Family” in 2009. He continues to write on matters concerning the application of the Christian faith to all of life.
